Some residents in Riverdale woke up Christmas Day to discover that a sinkhole had formed on their street.
The sinkhole is located on West 255th Street, near the Mosholu Parkway.
The exact cause of the sinkhole is unclear, but residents say it might stem from some sort of water issue.
News 12 is told the Department of Environmental Protection is aware of the problem, and is sending a crew to assess the situation.
