Man in serious condition following crash in Mount Eden

Police say a man is fighting for his life after he crashed his livery cab into another car, causing it to flip over in Mount Eden.

Police say the crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Jerome Avenue near West Mount Eden Avenue. They say two people were rushed to the hospital and are listed in serious condition.

They say a 25-year-old man was driving his livery cab northbound on Jerome Avenue when he crashed the Toyota Camry into a Honda Odyssey that a 54-year-old woman was driving.

Officials say the 54-year-old woman is now listed in stable condition, but the taxi driver is in serious condition.

The crash also caused damage to two other unoccupied parked cars.
