Elevators up and running at Bronx subway stop

New elevators are officially up and running at a busy Bronx subway stop.
After years of construction and waiting, the MTA finally finished installing three elevators at the Kingsbridge Road station, which provides B and D train service.
Many say they've spent years struggling with the stairs at the stop, and they couldn't be happier that their daily commute is now much easier. The station is the only one in the area with elevators, and is only one of two with elevators along the B and D lines.
According to the MTA, the addition of the elevators was to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. It added that the stop is the 85th out of 100 stations citywide that will be made fully accessible by 2020.
