NYPD arrests alleged ‘Lyman Place Gang’ members

Alleged gang members were arrested Thursday after a takedown in The Bronx.
The alleged Lyman Gang members faced a 57-count indictment after an overnight sweep.
Officials say eight were arrested and 11 total were arraigned in state Supreme Court Thursday. Most of the alleged gang members are teenagers, with the youngest only 16 years old.
Police say they were able to get the alleged gang members in custody because they did all the planning for their crimes, including second-degree murder, on social media. They say they are still looking for two more people.
Jermaine Johnson, Kaseem Martinez and Sabastian Benjamin were charged with manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree murder in the death of Castle Hill Little League coach Pablo Pagan. Investigators say the trio acted together in the shooting death of Pagan back in October 2013.
Terrell Nimmons and Dashin Simmons are charged with attempted murder for targeting and shooting a rival gang member near a school in broad daylight.
The alleged gang members will be back in court in February.
