Prosecutors: Queens man stole used cooking oil from 16 restaurants

A Queens man was arrested for allegedly stealing used cooking oil valued at approximately $12,000 from 16 different restaurants.
Rabindra Singh, 47, pleaded not guilty Friday to multiple charges including grand larceny. He was allegedly caught on camera pumping the valuable kitchen grease into a truck, which was meant to be picked up by a recycling company.
Singh was released without bail. He is due back in court on May 22.
