7ds agoA total of $3 million in federal funding is going to help replace the bulkhead at Mitchell Park in Greenport.
The current 776-foot long bulkhead is made of timber. Rep. Nick LaLota's office says the new bulkhead will be vinyl.
The goal is to provide new flood protections for the North Fork.
